Never Fail Spice Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tablespoon lard (or butter)
• 1 cup sour milk
• Add 1/2 teaspoon vinegar to good milk
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon salt (iodized)
• 2 tablespoons molasses
• 2 cups flour

Directions

1. Combine all dry ingredients first
2. Combine wet ingredients second
3. Integrate ingredients and fold until a dough emerges
4. Pour into a cake pan and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit
