Short Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt (iodized)
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup milk
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
• 3 eggs

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Grease and flour 19x9x2 baking pan.
3. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, shortening, vanilla, and 2/3 of the milk into mixer bowl
4. Start mixing, then mix in remaining milk and eggs
5. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes
6. Bake 35-40 minutes
