Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

Dough

• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup butter / margarine
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 2 eggs
• 2 3/4 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Dusting

• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Mix dusting ingredients in bowl and set aside
3. For dough, mix sugar, butter, shortening, and eggs in large bowl.
4. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt
5. Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls into balls. Toss in cinnamon sugar mixture
6. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie pan
7. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set
